1. Policy Statement

Clast Fit LTD is committed to providing a safe and healthy working environment for all employees, subcontractors, clients, and visitors involved in its fit-out operations. We aim to prevent work-related injury and ill-health, ensure compliance with legal obligations, and continuously improve our occupational health and safety management system (OHSMS) in accordance with ISO 45001:2018.

2. OH&S Objectives

Our occupational health and safety objectives include:

• Preventing workplace incidents and reducing near-misses through proactive risk management.

• Ensuring 100% of staff and subcontractors receive OH&S induction and site-specific safety training.

• Maintaining compliance with all relevant UK health and safety legislation (e.g. Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974).

• Reducing lost time injuries (LTIs) by 20% over the next 12 months.

• Promoting worker consultation and participation in health and safety decisions.

3. Scope of the OHSMS

This policy and the associated management system apply to:

• All company offices, fit-out project sites, and off-site activities conducted by Clast Fit LTD.

• All employees, contractors, subcontractors, and third parties under the company’s control.

• All work-related activities, including site visits, deliveries, and the use of machinery, tools, and hazardous substances.

4. Leadership and Worker Participation

Clast Fit LTD’s senior management is fully committed to:

• Providing visible leadership and setting clear OH&S roles and responsibilities.

• Consulting with workers and their representatives to ensure their involvement in safety-related decisions.

• Providing appropriate resources, supervision, and training to ensure the effectiveness of the OHSMS.

5. Hazard Identification and Risk Control

We will proactively identify workplace hazards and assess associated risks through:

• Regular site inspections, toolbox talks, and method statements.

• Implementation of the hierarchy of controls to eliminate or minimise risks.

• Continuous monitoring of site conditions, tasks, and behaviours.

6. Legal and Regulatory Compliance

Clast Fit LTD will ensure compliance with:

• All applicable UK OH&S laws and regulations.

• Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM 2015).

• Industry-specific best practices and client safety requirements.

7. Incident Reporting and Emergency Preparedness

We operate a clear process for reporting and responding to incidents, including:

• Immediate reporting of all accidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions.

• Investigation of all incidents to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.

• Emergency preparedness plans for fire, medical incidents, and other on-site hazards.

8. Continual Improvement

We are committed to continual improvement through:

• Monitoring OH&S performance using leading and lagging indicators.

• Conducting regular audits, inspections, and management reviews.

• Implementing corrective actions and sharing lessons learned.

9. Communication and Awareness

This policy will be communicated to all workers and interested parties. It will be:

• Displayed at all project sites and head office.

• Included in inductions, training, and toolbox talks.

• Reviewed annually and updated as necessary.
